We have lost count of how many piped rose buttercream cakes we have made over the years! They are a stunningly attractive design and (shh... don't tell anyone!) actually relatively simple when you know how.
This three hour class will show you how to level a 6 inch round sponge cake, make buttercream to the optimum consistency for filling and crumb coats, then filling and adding a crumb layer of buttercream to your cake. You will then learn how to make buttercream to the perfect consistency for piping, and piped two-tones buttercream roses (or a rose ombre effect) all over your cake.
You will finish the cake off with some small handmade decorations to set off the design. This class will show you all the top tips to be able to create these beautiful cakes which you can adapt to any colour scheme, size and shape of cake.
